Reverend Eversel M. Griffith was born (miraculously) on the eastern Caribbean Island of Barbados. As a young Christian, he served as president of the Inter School Christian Fellowship, youth director of his church, and as a member of the national youth council for the United Pentecostal Assemblies of God. He also founded his church’s youth choir and the Summer Power outdoor crusade.
After being inspired by Jonah 3:2, he relocated to the United States in 1981. He served as the youth coordinator for the Rescue House of Prayer, Brooklyn NY. He was appointed as associate pastor of New Jerusalem Outreach Church and later founded Faith Revival Ministries in Brooklyn, NY. After moving to New Jersey, he served on the ministerial staff at Greater Mount Zion UHCA in Cranford, NJ. He currently serves as pastor of Mount Carmel Holy Church UHCA, Montclair, NJ and has conducted many seminars for the UHCA Northern District Convocation.
Reverend Griffith attended the United Christian College and later served on the faculty as an instructor. He also received a Doctorate of Divinity from the same institute. He currently serves as secretary of the Board of Elders and Nominating Committee member of the UHCA, Northern District Convocation and Chairman of Sacred Call Ministries (SCM), a ministry developed to come alongside churches and assist them in various areas.
Eversel Griffith is also the author of six books: “Thoughts for the Hurting Heart”, “Thoughts from His Heart” – An Urgent Message to Twenty-first Century Christians, “Thoughts for the Twenty-first Century Pastor” – A Pastor’s resource Guide, “The Lake of Fire” – “Through Gates of Pearls”, - and “Understanding Spiritual Warfare”- A Practical Guide to Successful Twenty-First Century Christian Living. He also coordinated development and publishing an UHCA Northern District “Board of Elders handbook”.
Eversel Griffith is an Education & Knowledge Technologist for Ricoh Americas Corporation, and is a CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer. Reverend Griffith and his wife, Elder Joan Griffith have three children: Donelle, Dwayne and Danisha, and one grandson, Roman Carter.
